Dr. Lesley Farmer, Professor at California State University Long Beach, coordinates the Librarianship program. Dr. Farmer has worked as a library media teacher in K-12 school settings as well as in public, special and academic libraries. She chairs the Information Literacy SIG of the International Association for School Librarianship, chaired the Educators of Library Media Specialists Section of AASL, and is incoming chair for the Education Section of Special Libraries Association. Dr. Farmer is a frequent presenter and writer for the profession. Her latest books include Collaborating with Administrators and Educational Support Staff (Neal-Schuman, 2006) and The Human Side of Reference and Information Services in Academic Libraries (Chandos, 2007).
